New Card - Krond the Dawn-Clad

Now that the high from the Avacyn Restored pre-release and Pro Tour is dying down it seems that WotC is ready to start rolling out the Planechase 2012 preview cards:

First Impression

Nicely costed for a 6/6 flying vigilance, but hard to cast. Krond is so specific for evenly balanced green & white decks and yet I wouldn't mind if WotC printed more of these. I understand you can't overdue it on lower rarity cards because it would be nigh unplayable in limited but... this is a Planechase set and it's mythic in rarity. I mean, if I'm not mistaken, the last time they printed cards of any significant quantity at such ridiculous casting costs was way back in Legends. "Whenever this attacks, if it's enchanted, exile target permanent." Elegant, powerful, and effective. It's simple, but I kind of like it.

Deck Ideas

Krond has no place in a traditional Enchanter Deck. Let's just get that out of the way right now. Enchanter Decks are all about incredible mana acceleration, leading into incredible card draw, leading into as many cheap aura as possible loaded onto a cheap creature (or simply leading into a Sigil of the Empty Throne). Krond doesn't fit this mold. To use Krond, I think you just begin with a singleton copy of Krond, throw in 4x copies of Rancor, add 2-4 other various auras, and then just make a mid-range, well-balanced GW deck and then be done with it.
