We continue mulling through the newly released, complete Dark Ascension visual spoiler here with card number 82 of 158:
The verdict is still out on the the Fateful Hour mechanic. I'm not sold on just including Fateful Hour cards into a normal white deck and just hope that you hit 5 or less life when the time is right. Enabling Fateful Hour has to be more certain than that for it to actually work. Funnily enough, Fateful Hour is severely weakened by the removal of mana burn. With mana burn, you would have been able to manage your life total at least a little better.
I still want to make a Fateful Hour deck with cards like Second Chance, Death's Shadow, and Dismember, but the thing is that most Fateful Hour cards in Dark Ascension are geared toward token and white weenie decks. And the deck I want to make wants to drop 1-2 fatties while always being in danger of dying.
If not that, then there's always the possibility of making a red/white Form of the Dragon deck. Form of the Dragon was always a funny card and Fateful Hour might actually bring out the best in an old favorite.
